Cyprus company incorporation accelerated service costs EUR 100, paid on top of the EUR 165 registration fee. It is the Registrar's only published way to make a company registration faster, and it is cheap enough that the real question is what else the price of a formation package is covering.
Cyprus company incorporation accelerated, next to the ordinary fees
| Item | Fee |
|---|---|
| Incorporation, company with share capital | EUR 165 |
| Incorporation, company without share capital | EUR 235 |
| Accelerated registration | + EUR 100 |
| Name approval or change form | EUR 10 |
| Public company form HE5 | + EUR 20 |
| Certified copies | EUR 120 |
Those are the Registrar's own figures, identical whether you file online or by hand. Add them up for a normal private company in a hurry and the state wants EUR 275.
What the Registrar does not publish
Three things are missing from every Registrar page we read, so we do not state them. There is no published registration timeframe, ordinary or accelerated, so nobody can honestly tell you how many days the EUR 100 saves. There is no minimum share capital stated; the fee pages only distinguish companies with and without one. And capital duty on authorised share capital is not mentioned at all, so we cannot say whether it still applies.
If a provider quotes you a number of days, ask where it comes from. It will be their experience, which is useful, but it is not a published service level.
Where the rest of a formation fee goes
Cyprus providers publish formation packages from about EUR 1,050 to about EUR 4,150, with a median around EUR 2,300. Against EUR 275 of state fees, that gap is the work: name approval, memorandum and articles, a registered office, a company secretary, director appointments, Tax Department and VAT registration, and certified copies.
The difference between the cheap end and the expensive end is almost always which of those are inside the price and which get billed afterwards. Compare the list, not the headline.
One thing worth paying for
If your Cyprus tax residency claim depends on holding an office in a Cyprus tax-resident company during a particular calendar year, the date the company exists matters more than the fee. Incorporating in late December with an ordinary filing is where the EUR 100 stops being a convenience.
The fees above are on the Registrar's applying to incorporate a company page.
Common questions
- How much is accelerated company registration in Cyprus?
- EUR 100 on top of the EUR 165 incorporation fee. The Registrar states the same surcharge for the online route and for filing by hand or post.
- What is the normal registration fee?
- EUR 165 for a company with share capital, EUR 235 for one without. The name approval or change form is EUR 10, and a public company form HE5 adds EUR 20.
- How long does registration take normally?
- The Registrar publishes no timeframe on any page we read. Accelerated registration for EUR 100 is the only time-related option it states.
