These are short notes, one Cyprus question each, written to be read in two minutes. Every figure carries the law or the government page it came from, and where an answer is not established the note says so rather than filling the gap with something that sounds right.
Why they are separate from the guides
The guides on this site cover a route end to end: what a permit requires, what it costs, how long it takes. A note answers one question. If what you want is the crypto rate, the tax-free band, or whether a visitor permit lets you work, a guide makes you read around it.
They also differ in what they are for. The guides are what we will file for you. The notes are what we had to establish before we could, and several of them exist because the answer in general circulation is wrong.
Where the figures come from
The tax notes come from the Income Tax Law and the Special Contribution for the Defence Law as amended on 31 December 2025, read on cylaw.org, and from the Tax Department's own pages. The immigration notes come from the Migration Department. The company notes come from the Registrar of Companies.
Secondary sources appear where no primary one was readable, and they are labelled as secondary in the note itself rather than quietly mixed in.
What you will not find
Numbers we could not verify. Several notes stop short on purpose: the naturalisation fee, because the Ministry of Interior's pages could not be read; the official health system rates, because the Health Insurance Organisation's site refused the connection; the current status of the EUR 350 annual company levy, because the Registrar enforces arrears for 2012 to 2023 and says nothing about the years since.
Each of those is listed with what would close it. A missing figure is more useful than a confident wrong one when you are planning a move around it.
